This movie was crazy. Lots of plot twists and the ending was so unexpected!! I at first was not sure I liked it but the ending made it a decent movie. Definitely a good renter. Keeps you guessing and it has enought suspense and scary parts to keep you interested.
Hey all it has been awhile…..maybe I should list what has NOT happened to me!! LOL!!
So it is November 1st already. Time has flown. Emmy is back at school and doing well. Gymnastics, Girl Scouts and horsebackriding are in full swing. Izzy is still working…Thank God!! And of course I am busy at work also. September flew by with a blur. October however was a very sucky month and I am so glad it is over. On October 14th I was in a car accident in Hudson on the way to work. I was so glad that I had already dropped Emmy off at school. I was trying to avoid a tractor trailer that had pulled out into the street against the light and I ended up hitting another car. Of course the tractor trailer went on his merry way and left me. I totalled my car but luckily no one was seriously hurt. I was bruised and I sprained my left wrist. I had to wear a brace for about a week but it is almost totally healed.
The day after my accident my hot water heat shit the bed. So we had to replace that. Water was squirting out all over. It was a big mess. And a pain in the ass.
So I ended up getting a new car…which I love!! In case you did not know that. A 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring…vivid blue…with lots of goodies. Very cool.
I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving…I could have been more seriously hurt, or hurt the other woman really badly. My house could have had been damaged from the hot water heater. Emmy was not in the car…she was safe at school.
And my favorite month of the year is here…November!! Lots of time off from work, Thanksgiving…turkey, stuffing…PUMPKIN PIE!! Shopping with my cousin on Black Friday and my birthday….Love my birthday…in case you did not know.
And I will try not to be a stranger to my blog…TTYL!!!
Movie Review-Where the Wild Things Are
Terrible movie. Ridiculous plot. The boy should have been spanked and put to bed without supper. Especially when he made his sister’s room sopping wet. I did not get the point of this movie. It was stupid. I know supposedly it was about a boy with no father who was feeling lost. But what it comes down to is this boy was an obnoxious brat who needed to be disciplined. And taught not to run away for hours. Dumb dumb dumb.
Movie Review-Inkheart
Great movie. Loved the premise that certain people have the ability to read books into reality. Of course Brendan Frasier was awesome. He is always awesome. I really liked this movie…so did Emmy. It is a good family movie…which was good for us. Good family time!!
Movie Review-The Pacifier
Great movie…very funny. I love Vin Diesel. He is great in everything. Lots of laughs, lots of pranks…lots of slapstick humor. Very cool.

This was a crazy movie. Lots of wackyness. Good but crazy. Hard to say more than that because it has been awhile since I saw this movie. Did not make a lasting impression. LOL!! So maybe not as good as I thought!! LOL!!!
Movie Review-Coraline
I have owed this for almost two months. So here goes. This was a very strange movie. A girl able to go between two worlds…one with eyes and one with buttons for eyes. Very strange. Emmy really liked it and we had to buy the music for her because she loved it so much. Very similar in style to Nightmare before Christmas. Interesting movie.
Summer is over…and what a busy one it’s been!!
So Emmy starts school in three days. Boy this summer seems to have sped on by…and gone incredibly slow all at once!! Let’s see…what have we done this summer. Well…Emmy went to playground almost every day and ate her lunch there too..which was a new thing. Emmy went to Buffalo at the beginning of the summer with grandma and grandpa and got to play with her cousin, AJ. She loves to play with AJ, AJ is not so sure about Emmy, he does things his own way!! Emmy did the library program this summer too. She wrote a book report and read lots of good books. Well, good to her at least. Goosebumps are awful books!! LOL!! She went to horseback riding camp for a week and had a great time. She met a new friend, Kaila, who rode with her. Then we all went to NYC to see the Lion King. It was wonderful!!! We had a great time!! Our household got a kitten, Patches, who is totally insane. Emmy likes her. Izzy is not too sure. Emmy went to stay at her Abuela and Abuelo’s house in Amsterdan for a few days. She had a great time. We went to Howe Caverns and took the tour. We sluiced for gems, Emmy loved that and got a bunch of pretty gems. We went to Saratoga twice, which is always a great time. We did not win big but we had fun. Emmy picked out horses too and some of them came in first. We went to the Chatham Fair, and Emmy rode on some of the bigger rides. She had so much fun and met a nice boy named Nathaniel. They rode down the big slide together a few times. Emmy even went into the fun house and looked at herself in the silly mirrors. She went in three times…once with Izzy and twice by herself. Emmy entered the Author/Illustrator contest in the paper and won honorable mention. How exciting for her!! She is quite the writer!! And she loves to draw.
So now comes fall, school is starting again. She is gonna do gymnastics, Girl Scouts if we can get it going, horseback riding…she is gonna be a busy kid. Plus she is a big 2nd grader…who knows what that entails. Hopefully the year goes well!! I am looking forward to getting back into the routine. The cool crisp sunny days and nights!! The beautiful, colorful leaves. I am ready to move on to the new season!!!
Movie Review-Inglourious Basterds
This was a pretty good movie. Almost three hours but quite honestly it did not feel that way. It was interesting having the Jews turn the tables on the Nazis. There were a lot of funny parts. Like when they would do the subtitles for the French and German and instead of translating Merci into Thank you it would say Merci!! LOL!! I don’t mind movies in subtitles. At least I don’t miss what is being said! LOL!! Brad Pitt was pretty good. It almost made me forget that he is with that lunatic Angelina Jolie!! Overall I thought it was a great movie. Totally Terentino. Lots of craziness. The last scene is the best. Loved the face floating over the Nazis. Ended the war a whole year earlier. Good stuff.
And as always good times with good friends…and the girls got along reasonably well too considering that they spent all of Wednesday and Friday together on a massive play date!!
Movie Review-Halloween 2
We went to the drive in last night with our regular drive in crew…the Alexander family!! Double feature…Halloween 2 and Inglourious Basterds.
Halloween 2 was not too bad. Silly. Billie Jo and I had a lot of laughs. Not sure Izzy appreciated all the laughs!! LOL!! Lots of gore, blood, screaming. Not too terribly scary..more of a gross out factor. Ehh…it was a Halloween movie made by Rob Zombie. What can you really expect?? Glad I watched the first one a few weeks ago.
